Artist Corner: David from Canada

Meet our latest Artist Corner, designer, David Acosta. He resides in Canada, and works as Freelance Artist/Graphic Designer. David joined the PosterMyWall family in 2014, and we're excited to share his story. Keep reading to learn more about David!

About Me

I’ve been working with art since I was 14 years old. I often watched my Father do calligraphy, which is a hard talent to find! But my favourite artist of all time is Michelangelo. His type of work, talent and time is amazing.

My first projects started as simple sketches, then turned into oil paints, and now, computer graphics designs and photography. I find my inspiration everywhere. Wherever I travel, I always try to put my own spin on things and develop something from what I’ve seen.

I love working with various backgrounds, colors adjustment, filters and other things that I can find to make something spectacular. I often work with sports and take photos to create posters for kids. Feel free to look at my personal website to see some of my work. 

On a typical day, you'll find me working. But I also love to cook and often enjoy a nice drive, walk and going to the gym.

Likes/Dislikes Foods: I am not a picky eater so I will eat and try anything!

Movies: Love the action/sci-fi stuff, but the best movie all of time is Braveheart.

Places to Travel: I would love to visit Australia, Greece, Spain... and anywhere with a beach.

Other faves

My favourite superhero is Captain America.

Ontario is a beautiful place, so if I could live anywhere in the world, it would still be in Canada - but in the middle of nowhere with a lake and a boat!
