Tips For Creating The Perfect Facebook Cover Video
In mid 2017, Facebook launched a much awaited feature; Cover Videos. This was thought to be revolutionary for business pages as videos are proven to have a considerably higher conversion rate than images and to grab attention for a comparatively longer time span in this day of mindless scrolling and browsing.

Facebook cover videos provide an instant attraction - you are likely to get more followers, likes, engagement and ultimately higher levels of brand awareness with an eye-catching cover video.
However, uploading visual content on Facebook can be tricky.
PRO TIP: Facebook cover videos are currently ONLY available to business pages, not personal profiles!
If you’re not sure how to make one, have limited budget, or need a quick solution to getting a video for your brand, we’ve got just the thing for you.
Facebook Cover Video Templates
PosterMyWall designers from all over the world are creating new Facebook cover video templates for you on a daily basis! Whether you’re a start-up salon or a repair shop, a church or a school, we’ve got you covered. You can customize professional video templates or create your own video.
Here’s a detailed guide on how to create the perfect Facebook cover video with PosterMyWall templates:
Browse through our huge collection of Facebook Cover Videos.
Select a template of your choice. (You can also search for “Facebook” on PosterMyWall OR browse through Templates Gallery)
Open the template in our online editor.
Make sure the template size is “Facebook Cover Video (2:1)".
5. Add your own text, logos or images to the video.
IMPORTANT: Facebook often crops cover videos according to various mobile/desktop viewing requirements. The best option is to make sure all your important content is in the blue area highlighted below. You can still add content in the grey area, but it MIGHT get cropped on different devices.
The video should also be within 21 to 90 seconds long, as any duration that falls short or exceeds this will not play the cover video when uploaded.
Example:
This Christmas Party template would be perfect for a Facebook Cover Video as all the text is in the middle, so no important content will be cropped by Facebook.
6. Download your video and upload on Facebook!
Heads up: Facebook may reduce the quality of your image and video uploads. There is no way to prevent that from happening, but we suggest you start off with a high resolution image/video to start off with so the quality is acceptable after Facebook's automatic reduction.
Facebook Event Covers
You can make your Facebook event cover videos, or even resize another design to the Facebook event cover size easily.
As with Facebook covers photos, design content should be away from the upper and bottom margins, so as to avoid any cropping (Facebook tends to crop a lot!). A good layout for a Facebook event cover would be as shown in the design below, with all important information kept towards the center.
Use 1920x1005px for Facebook event cover videos. Choose ‘custom dimensions’ in the ‘resize’ option in the PosterMyWall editor to resize your design.
PRO TIP: Download your video for FREE to test it out before purchasing it!
