The La Tomatina Festival is an iconic festival marked by throwing and spilling tomatoes onto one another in a messy party of epic proportions! It began in Buñol (Spain), in August 1945, where an incident involving someone falling into a vegetable cart ended in a subsequent fight, resulting in this iconic festival being held. Ever since, the festival has been celebrated yearly, and while some years it has been cancelled, for one reason or another, it has passed the test of time. The festival is now celebrated all over the world, to pay homage to that special incident in history.
